11’s Rep: 2025 Season-in-Review

The High Park 11s exceeded expectations in their development year by not only winning a tournament in Windsor, but making it to the semifinals in two others while often playing against 12U teams from around the province. This year, the kids took new risks — making diving catches in the outfield, sacrifice bunting and perfecting the delayed steal — and learned the importance of playing as a team.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: Taking the championship in Windsor was especially triumphant, as we faced Dundas, the team that had eliminated us in three tournaments last season. The game was close until the High Park 11s put on a hit barrage in the 5th inning and scored 8 runs. McCoy and Gavin’s combined perfect game was also a special moment for the team.

The High Park 11s excel at having fun in the dugout, creating custom rhyming cheers for every player and cracking each other up. This effort was boosted when McCoy — poet-in-chief of the team — returned for our second tournament after missing the first with a broken finger.

The 11s year was a team effort, and that included the non-coaching parents: Team managers Rosie, Allison, Candice and Nicole; Natalie on walk-up songs; Corey on GameChanger; and Mark with his always timely shouts of encouragement from the bleachers
