The days are brighter, the air is warmer, and the blossoms are out…Opening Day 2024 is just around the corner and we can’t wait to kick off another summer in the park with you! Please join us Saturday, May 4th for a day of fun, friends and baseball. Here’s what you need to know:
- Players are asked to arrive at the park at 9:00 AM and meet at the t-ball diamond. Instructional players – look out for details on picking up your uniforms. A friendly reminder to all that the park is closed to traffic on the weekends.
- The parade starts at 9:30 AM, so families – be sure to secure your spot! The parade will go from the t-ball diamond and around the outfield of Ernie Keith Field before coming around to the entrance to the field on the 1B side.
- We have some special guests that day including our ceremonial first pitch before we declare the season open! A full day of games is planned for both our baseball and t-ball divisions, with the first games going at 11:00 AM.
- What’s a day at the ballpark without food? Players are welcome to join us for a barbecue across from the diamonds, plus we’ll have popcorn and other treats outside the clubhouse.
- We will also have team hats for sale and a community gear swap – please bring your gently used gear to pass along to another family and maybe find something for yourself.
An event this memorable takes an all-star team, so if you are able to, consider signing up to give us a hand – volunteers like you are what makes our league so special. A huge thanks as well to all of our Opening Day and team sponsors!
