David Calabrese, who played T-Ball through to 12U with High Park Little League was drafted in the third round by the LA Angels in the recent 2020 major league draft.

The speedy Calabrese was renowned for his hitting as far back as T-Ball, so current T-Ballers should note that he still uses the tee for practicing.

In 2014, his High Park 12U team made a 28-0 run when he was an 11-year-old playing up on the rep squad. High Park made it to the National Championships, breezed through the round robin, then fell just short in the finals for an opportunity to represent Canada at the Little League World Series.

Great Little League memories. We’re confident you’ll make many more one day in The Show! Congrats David!

David fondly remembers 2014 High Park Little League season

“That was one of my favourite years of baseball…we made it to the national championships and came up a little bit short, but every game that year was something special. It was one of the most fun years I ever had playing the game, and I think it was that year that I just fell in love with everything about [baseball], and I just want to continue it for as long I can.”
