Major Division

In 2024, the Orioles won the Mel Wilding Trophy as Major House League Champions.

The Major division is for players aged 11 and 12 (review Little League age guidelines) consisting of eight teams.

Players graduate from their Minor franchise team to their Major team and do not need to go through an evaluation process once placed on to a Minor team. There are eight teams in the Major division: Athletics (Colonels minor), Cubs (Monarchs minor), Expos (Leafs minor), Mets (Cyclones minor), Orioles (Bisons minor), Pirates (Cannons minor), Red Sox (Jets minor), and White Sox (Knights minor).

Each team plays one or two games per week, which are held after the franchise’s Minor team game and lasts approximately two hours. Weeknight games occur at 8pm, while weekend game times from May to August will vary. Players are expected to arrive one hour before the game for warm-up activities and skills training. Between games and practices, players can expect to play ball four times a week at a minimum. All games are played at Ernie Keith Field. Umpires are provided by the league.

Scores are kept and standings maintained for the regular season, which wraps up in late August. Overall standings influence playoff brackets (1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, etc.) held each September, with three rounds of playoffs series held to determine a division champion (rounds 1 and 2 are best-of-3 games, finals are best-of-5 games).

Each team is provided practice time each week throughout the season. These practices are usually on different weekday evenings. There may be additional batting practice times, depending on cage availability and coach interest. Practices take place at Ernie Keith Field as well as diamonds in the surrounding High Park and west end area.
