High Park Little League is excited to announce our special guest who will throw out the first pitch of the season: the amazing Liz Benn!
Liz most recently served as Director of Major League Operations for the New York Mets, becoming the organization’s highest ranking woman in baseball operations in its history. Prior to working at the Mets, she worked at the Major League Baseball Commissioner’s Office in baseball operations and player development, including establishing the girls baseball development infrastructure.
She attended the University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree, and Columbia University for her masters degree. In addition to working in baseball, she pitches in the NYC Metro Baseball League, and teaches philosophy at Lehman College. Previously, she played on Team Ontario in the Baseball Canada women’s National championship.
