Introducing our new web site

Welcome to the new High Park Little League website!

We took time over the fall and winter to seek feedback and examine how kids, parents, and coaches used our website. You asked for specific improvements and we hope we’ve delivered.

Here are some of the new and enhanced features:

Appearance:
We have endeavoured to improve the overall experience of the website and that started with upgrading the design and appearance. Text is now larger, cleaner, and much easier to read; background colours have been removed for clear legibility; and the site displays differently whether you’re viewing the website on a phone, tablet, or laptop.

Navigation:
Nearly 80% of you access our website through your mobile phones. With that in mind, we’ve now made it easier to navigate around the website, simplified links in the drop-down menu, and consolidated pages with duplicate information. On the desktop version of the site, we’ve eliminated unnecessary drop-down links.

Schedule:
While most parents use TeamSnap to keep up-to-date with game times and practises, the schedule on the website is still an important asset to parents, kids, and coaches. We’ve designed it with no need to click through endless pages. Now you can see clearly see which games are being played in all divisions on each day of the season. You can even view the schedule of each specific division for T-Ball, Minors, and Majors. Everything now reads cleaner and is easier to access.

Standings & Scores:
Parents, kids, and coaches told us loudly that accurate and up-to-date standings were vital. Standings and scores — that’s right, scores! — are much easier to access. Both the Minors and Majors division standings now appear on a single page, while the standings also appear on the homepage.

News:
The blog is where we share news and upcoming events. The new layout reduces clutter and makes it easier to read and access. We plan to post news, features, and events more regularly throughout the season.

Please give your coaches feedback on the website or let our board members know your thoughts.
