Last Monday, High Park Little League community members, including coaches, parents, and the Board of Directors came together to talk about the past season, hear feedback from those in attendance, and elect a new board.
With great pleasure, we announce that Dave Clark has been elected our new League President! Dave has been both a house league and All-Star coach in High Park since his family joined in 2022; he also served as our VP of T-Ball for the 2024 season.
Peter Paz, who served as our League President the last 2 seasons has stepped down and will now serve as Past President. Peter has been part of the High Park family as a parent for 10 seasons, and we are thrilled that he will stay within the community to provide his perspective and guidance.
Also stepping down from the board are Jason Okamura, Amy Ringrose and Raj Verma who served as VP of Baseball, Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. Gareth Ringrose and Tracy Platt, both Directors-at-Large, have also stepped down. Between those 5 alone that’s a combined total of 28 seasons in the park and 14 years on our board!
With those changes, our board has many new (but familiar!) faces:
- Damien Jay will serve as our new Vice-President of Baseball
- Andrea Diakun has been elected our new Vice-President of T-Ball
- Allison De Korte will join as Secretary
- Mike Foley returns to the board, and will now serve as Treasurer
- Also joining the board as Directors-at-Large are Dave Smyth, Carly Dunster, Natalie Taylor and Candice Thomas; we are also excited to welcome back Karen Pang and Krystle Welsh
More to come on Girls’ Development, All-Star Coordinator and other roles. We are, however, excited to announce that or the first time, 7 of the 12 board members are women! Congratulations to all elected to the 2025 Board of Directors and a huge thank you to those who stepped down. You’ll always be part of this summer family.
