It’s hard to believe, but we are nearing the end of another great season of baseball in High Park. Mother Nature has been more than generous with watering the fields, and teams are preparing to push into the first few days of October to close out the playoffs. Some exciting games – and game threes! – in the semi-final rounds, and congratulations to the Monarchs and Bisons, Orioles and Pirates for advancing to the finals, a best 3-of-5 series for each.
Due to rain, there is still plenty of action in the Consolation Round as well, with games delayed from the weekend left to be decided. Best of luck to the these teams as they inch their way closer to the final, winner-takes-all games for their series!
There’s guaranteed to be a lot of excitement, so be sure to dress for the weather and come on down to the park to watch these teams leave it all on the field and put the skills they’ve honed this season to work. Best of luck to all!
